Sassone Tartufi at the XVI Festival dei Borghi più Belli d’Italia
We are proud to announce the participation of Sassone Tartufi at the 16th Festival Nazionale dei Borghi più Belli d’Italia which was held from September 6th to 8th in Oriolo and Rocca Imperiale, in the province of Cosenza.
The three days of festival were a unique opportunity not only to get to know and taste our products and recipes, but also an opportunity to address – together with experts, local producers and representatives of the institutions – the main issues related to the development of small villages such as the enhancement of the territory and the preservation of cultural heritage.
A celebration of the secret beauties of our region
The Festival dei Borghi più Belli d’Italia, – which every year involves the 354 villages belonging to the network of the ”Borghi più Belli d’Italia ”, – was born with the aim of celebrating the history, the floklore and the scenic beauties of our regions, with particular attention to local communities, often neglected by mass tourism.
The festival, which this year was held in Calabria, in the villages of Oriolo and Rocca Imperiale, took place over three days, offering a full program of events including concerts, exhibitions, tastings, show-cooking and debates.
The ultimate purpose of the event is not only to highlight the beauties of our region, but also to open the hidden charm of our villages to a wider audience, in order to create greater awareness of the importance of enhancing and protecting small towns, especially in a context of increasing globalization.
Through the certification of the Borghi più Belli d’Italia, each community therefore has the opportunity to emerge, positioning itself as a real destination of excellence, exclusive for tourists in search of authenticity and culture.
Sassone Tartufi: Enhancing the Territory Through Flavours
For Sassone Tartufi, – as a company that has always set itself the goal of promoting the enogastronomic culture of the Calabrian territory with a view to sustainability and enhancement of the territory, – participating in the Festival dei Borghi più Belli d’Italia was more than a reason for great pride, but a natural continuation of our multi-year commitment spent to make the authentic flavours of the territory known.
We have rewarded visitors and the curious in the way we know best: by offering the best of the flavors of our land, with dishes and specialties of our tradition embellished with our fresh truffles and truffle-based products, all cooked by the skilled chefs of our Ricrìa restaurant.
The event ended with a tasting Eat Show in collaboration with our partner Pastificio Astorino, another gastronomic excellence of our region.
